The report said that the Swedish garment and textile industries represent significant economic value to the country, both exports and jobs. “The garment and textile industries have an annual turnover of SEK 110 billion (US$13.6 billion), employ 180,000 people, and contribute 4.3 per cent to Sweden’s GDP.
